Prize draw terms 

1. The promoter and organiser

We are Wines of Hungary UK of 44a Muswell Hill Road London N10 3JR United Kingdom. The organiser 

2.1 The organiser of the competition is Wines of Hungary UK of 44a Muswell Hill Road London N10 3JR United Kingdom.

3. The competition

3.1 The title of the competition is #dinewithaszu 2023.

4. How to enter

4.1 The competition will run from 11:00 CET on Wednesday 6 December 2023 (the “Opening Time“) to 23:59 CET on Wednesday 31st of January 2023 (the “Closing Time”) inclusive.

4.2 All competition entries received after the Closing Time are automatically disqualified.

4.3 To enter the competition you must, on your Instagram account, before the Closing Time:

(a) post an in feed post or reel of Sweet Tokaj wines paired with savoury food;

(b) use the hashtag #dinewithaszu.

4.4 You will need an internet connection and a valid Instagram account to enter. No refund may be claimed for expenses incurred in participating in the competition, including in relation to the use of the Internet, purchases of wine, ingredients and/or props.

4.5 We will not accept responsibility for competition entries that are not received by us and/or completed, regardless of cause, including, for example, as a result of any equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind (including any social network downtime).

4.6 By submitting a competition entry, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions.

4.8 A copy of these terms and conditions will be available at the following link www.winehungary.co.uk or otherwise on request.

4.9 The competition winner will be chosen from all competition entries with the most creative Sweet Tokaj and savoury food pairing (as decided by Wines of Hungary UK) and the highest engagement.

4.10 Any entry that is deemed by us (in our sole discretion) to be unlawful, obscene, vulgar, pornographic, hateful, discriminatory, offensive, infringing or otherwise inappropriate or may adversely affect our brand or reputation will be excluded from the prize draw and we may take such other action in respect of such entry as we deem appropriate.

4.11 You must comply with the rules applicable to the social media platform in force from time to time.

5. Eligibility

5.1 The competition is open to all residents of the UK.

(a) our employees or the employees of our holding or subsidiary companies;

(b) employees of our agents or suppliers or their holding or subsidiary companies, who are professionally connected with the competition or its administration; or

(c) members of the immediate families or households of (a) and (b) above.

5.2 In entering the competition, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim the prize. Where there are any age restrictions on the prize (e.g. alcohol) we will require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the competition to our satisfaction before sending the prize to you. What constitutes adequate identification will be determined by us in our sole discretion but this will generally require you to provide a copy of a valid driving licence or passport to confirm your identity and age which we can verify against your social media profile or some other means. You must provide all reasonable co-operation to us to assist us with such verification, failure to do so within a reasonable period may result in you forfeiting your win and being disqualified from the competition.

5.3 We will not accept competition entries that are:

(a) automatically generated by computer;

(b) completed by third parties or in bulk; or

(c) incomplete.

5.4 There is a limit of one entry per person and per social media account. Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted and joint submissions are not allowed. You should not enter from any social media account that does not belong to you.

5.5 We reserve all rights to disqualify you if, in our opinion, your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the prize competition.

5.6 No post or work may be shared that is not owned by the individual, that does not have a proper license to use, or that our company has not authorised.

5.7 Permission should be granted from any third parties featured in photos and other content - for example, a signed release, waiver, or another form of written permission from those third parties - verbal consent should be obtained if there are other individuals involved in any photos taken and posted.

5.8 Organic Engagement Requirement

a) Eligibility Based on Engagement Type: This Competition is designed to reward genuine, organic user engagement. Therefore, eligibility for winning is strictly based on organic engagement metrics. For the purposes of this Competition, "organic engagement" refers to likes, shares, comments, and other interactions received naturally without the aid of paid promotion or advertisement.

b) Exclusion of Boosted Posts: Any content, including posts, images, videos, or other submissions, promoted or boosted through paid services on Meta platforms (including, but not limited to, Facebook and Instagram) are explicitly excluded from eligibility. Engagement metrics generated from such boosted or promoted content will not be considered when determining winners for the Competition.

c) Verification of Organic Engagement: Participants are required to ensure that their submissions remain free of any form of paid promotion throughout the duration of the Competition. The Organizers reserve the right to verify the nature of engagement received on any submission and disqualify entries that are found to have engaged in paid promotion.

d) Participant Acknowledgement: By participating in this Competition, all participants acknowledge and agree that only organic engagement will qualify for winning considerations and that any attempt to use paid promotion will result in disqualification.

e) Final Decision: The decision of the Organizers regarding the eligibility of engagement will be final and binding. No correspondence regarding the eligibility criteria or decision-making process will be entertained post announcement of results.

6. The prizes

6.1 Total of one prize, consisting of the following:

3-day trip to the Tokaj Wine region, Hungary for two people (2 nights). The main prize is announced on the 10th of February, and to be used by 30 August 2023. Dates to be confirmed according to vavilability.

Please note that images of the prize are for demonstration purposes only and we provide no warranty that the prize shall be as shown in any image.

6.2 Prizes are subject to availability. There is no cash alternative for the prize.

6.3 The prize is not negotiable or transferable.

6.4 Inclusions: 3-day trip to Tokaj (2 nights) for 2 people. All costs are covered from the departure airport to the arriving airport: aeroplane tickets (London-Budapest), transfer to Tokaj, accommodation in Tokaj, food expenses, winery visits and transport back to Budapest Airport, and aeroplane ticket to London. Wineries, restaurants and accommodation.

The main prize includes airplane tickets to and from Budapest, transportation to and from Tokaj, 2 nights/1 room accommodation in Zsirai Guest House (or similar) in Mad/Tokaj. https://zsiraiwinery.com/guesthouse. Winery visits @ Zsirai Winery, Royal Tokaji. Barta Winery (or similar wineries). Two dinners: elso Madi borhaz and Sarga borhaz and 2 lunches at the wineries/restaurants.

Day 1 – arriving to Budapest early afternoon, transport to Tokaj, accommodation, dinner at Elso Madi Borhaz

Day 2 – breakfast at accommodation winery visit 1 – lunch at Sarga Borhaz, Winery visit 2, vineyard visit, dinner. 

Day 3 – breakfast, winery visit, light lunch and midday transport to Budapest airport

7. Winners

7.1 Our decision in respect of the winners is final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.

7.2 We will contact the winners as soon as practicable after the Closing Time (2 February 2024), by direct message through Instagram.

7.3 After the Announcement Date, we will seek confirmation from the winners as to whether they consent to their name and social media handles being used in a winners announcement.

7.4 If such consent is granted and in our opinion it is appropriate to do so, we may announce the names of the winners on our social media page and/or website after the Announcement Date. We may also provide such details to any person who requests such information for a valid purpose.

8. Claiming the prize

8.1 Once contacted by us, winners must provide a valid email address within one week of being contacted. We will then email the winners, using the email address provided to obtain any necessary identification, and a postal address (within the regions specified above) to confirm eligibility criteria as set out in Clause 5.2. The winners must be able to satisfy the eligibility criteria within one week of it being requested. Once received, we will email the winners to confirm eligibility.

8.2 We reserve the right to offer the prize to another eligible entrant from the remaining eligible entries if a winner does not meet the eligibility criteria or provide evidence of this within the required timescales.

8.3 The prize may not be claimed by a third party on your behalf.

8.4 We will make all reasonable efforts to contact the winners. If a winner cannot be contacted or is not available, or has not responded to us within 24 hours of the Announcement Date (10th of February 2024), we reserve the right to offer the prize to the next eligible entrant selected from the eligible entries that were received before the Closing Time.

8.5 We do not accept any responsibility if you are not able to take up the prize.

9. Limitation of liability

Insofar as is permitted by law, we will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winners or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by our negligence. Your statutory rights are not affected.

10. Data protection and publicity

10.1 We will only process your personal information as set out in the privacy policy.

10.2 We will only use the personal data you provide when you enter the competition to contact you to let you know you’ve won and the verification/identification information you provide if you are a winner to verify your eligibility to receive the prize and to send your prize to you (we do so on the basis of our legitimate interests (of ensuring you are eligible to receive the prize) and performance of our contract with you). If you win the competition, we may ask for your consent to publicly announce your name as the winner of the competition or to take part in additional publicity (such as publishing a photo of you on our website and social media pages). Please also see our privacy policy for details of how to contact us, how we store and retain your data and your rights in respect of your personal data.

10.3 Your personal data (namely, your social media handle) will remain on our social media account indefinitely. If we do receive your email address, postal address and identification documentation, we will retain this for at least six months following the announcement of the winner of the competition. Copies of any verification documents will be destroyed after they have been received and verified by us.

11. General

11.1 If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, we may, at our sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the competition (and any future competitions).

11.2 We reserve the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the prize competition where it becomes necessary to do so.

11.3 If any provision of these terms is found by any court or other competent authority to be invalid, unenforceable or illegal, the other provisions shall remain in force.

11.4 No failure or delay by a party to exercise any right or remedy provided under these terms or by law shall constitute a waiver of that or any other right or remedy, nor shall it prevent or restrict the further exercise of that or any other right or remedy.

11.5 These terms and conditions shall be governed by UK law, and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the United Kingdom court.
