California Wine Institute: UK Social Media

California Wine Institute (CWI) is responsible for the promotion of over 1,000 wineries and affiliated businesses. They needed to connect with, and create a network of, wine consumers and trade in the UK & Ireland. Their objective: to increase their social media following, educate users about Californian wines, promote CWI members and build an online community for event communication and coverage.

Since March 2020, the FirstPour team has managed CWI’s UK & Ireland social media accounts, including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. First, we redesigned their accounts to establish a stronger sense of CWI’s brand identity online. Then we implemented a strategy to target trade and consumers across different platforms.

Our content creators and analysts work with CWI and its members to continuously grow, educate and stimulate their social media following. We have successfully built a strong social media presence for CWI and, most importantly, founded a new online community of wine lovers in the UK, Ireland and beyond.
